A Gentle Soul

Harryson was a beautiful soul who profoundly impacted the lives of everyone he touched. At first glance, he was the quiet observer. You would have to slowly get to know him, but once you did, you unlocked a talkative, friendly, and deeply loyal companion.

He was a young man with impeccable manners and a quiet confidence. Whether he was gaming with his friends, swimming in the family pool, or inviting people over for cookouts, Harryson had a unique way of making everyone feel included and valued.

"He always saw the silver lining in things. If someone was distressed, Harryson was the one to offer hope and encourage them not to quit."

The Unthinkable

Tragically, at just 18 years old, Harryson’s life was cut short by an act of senseless gun violence. The loss sent shockwaves through his family and community, leaving an unfillable void in the home where he was once the heart.

But even in his final moments, Harryson was not alone. A trauma nurse, a compassionate stranger he had never met, stayed by his side, prayed with him, and held his hand through it all. Nina later said she could never thank her enough: "She was his angel. She was with him where I could not be." That act of grace, love extended by a complete stranger in the hardest of moments, is the very spirit this foundation was built to carry forward.

Media & Transparency

The tragic events surrounding Harryson's passing were documented by local authorities and news outlets. For full transparency regarding the incident that necessitated the creation of this foundation, official coverage is available for public record.

A Legacy That Lives On

His mother faced a grief that no parent should ever have to endure. But out of that devastating pain came a profound realization: Harryson’s story could not end there. His natural inclination to help the "invisible" or average student, and his unwavering loyalty to his friends, needed to live on.

Today, the H.L.A. Foundation exists to ensure that his legacy is one of action. By fighting gun violence, supporting grieving families, and providing scholarships to deserving students, we are keeping Harryson's spirit alive. We are doing for others what he always did: making sure they know they are seen, heard, and loved.
